I co-head a team of discretionary portfolio managers who look after individuals, trusts, pension funds, corporate accounts and charities. In addition, I contribute to the Group investment process having held a variety of roles at Investec, and I'm currently a member of the Asset Allocation committee. Within the team my particular focus is on larger clients including those who require greater overseas equity exposure.

Sally is the fixed income research analyst for the Rathbone Multi-Asset and Rathbone Greenbank Multi-Asset Portfolio funds. Sally joined Rathbones in September 2022 as an analyst for the Rathbone Fixed Income Team. Prior to joining Rathbones, she worked in fixed income and private wealth management at Evans and Partners in Australia. Sally graduated from Monash University, Melbourne, with a Bachelor of Pharmacy (with Honours) and Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Finance) and is currently a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 3 candidate.
Simon Foster

Simon is regional director in the Exeter office. He specialises in managing investment portfolios on behalf of private clients, charities, trusts and pension funds. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. During his career, Simon has established strong working relationships with a number of solicitors, accountants and independent financial advisers. He joined in June 2010 to assist with the expansion of Rathbones into the West Country.
Ben Shaw

Ben joined Rathbones Financial Planning in 2017 and is a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society. He passionately believes in the value of tailored holistic financial planning and working with clients to help them achieve their lifetime objectives. Ben advises clients across a broad range of areas including wealth preservation, investment structuring, retirement planning as well as succession and inheritance tax planning. He takes a proactive approach to ensure clients are reassured that they are making the right decisions with their wealth.

I work closely with my financial planning colleagues to optimise the tax efficiency of clients’ investment returns.
Edward James Moore

Edward is an investment director and a Chartered Member of the Institute for Securities and Investment. He specialises in managing portfolios for private individuals, trusts, pension funds, companies and charities. Edward started his career at WH Ireland Stockbrokers before joining HSBC Global Asset Management where he spent nine years and was responsible for managing over £200 million of client assets.
Laura Winter

Laura has over 8 years’ experience in the investment management/finance industry and joined Rathbones in 2022 from Stonehage Fleming. Laura manages multi-asset discretionary portfolios for private clients, offshore trusts and charities. Laura is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (‘CISI’), and holds the designation Chartered Wealth Manager, following completion of the Level 7 Chartered Wealth Manager Qualification (CWM) in 2018, as well as passing the CISI Investment Advice Diploma in 2016.
Hamish Barton

My first objective is to fully understand each client's current lifestyle and financial goals, in order to manage a bespoke portfolio specifically tailored to meet their individual requirements. I invest directly into companies in the UK and overseas as I believe this provides a greater level of diversification and access to a wider range of investment opportunities. In addition, I work closely with financial advisors and private bank colleagues to ensure my clients have access to expert advice across the full spectrum of their financial affairs.

John joined Rathbones in 2020, following a near-twenty year investment career at Barclays. In 2016, John took on management of Barclays’ Court of Protection (CoP) and Special Interest (SI) book, representing the most vulnerable component of Barclays’ discretionary proposition. This involved a tailored style of management sensitive to the unique nature of each set of client circumstances.
Alex Chambers

Alex has over ten years’ experience in the investment management industry and joined Rathbones in 2024. He has experience in managing multi-asset discretionary portfolios for both private clients and trusts. He is a Chartered Wealth Manager having completed the CISI’s level 7 Chartered Wealth Manager Qualification and he is a Chartered Fellow of the CISI. Alex was included in Citywire’s 30 under 30 in Wealth management for 2022, which recognises future talent within the Investment Management industry.
Will Findlay-Wilson

Will joined Greenbank’s investment research team in 2023, covering a variety of companies and funds within the Greenbank investment universe. Will began his career at Hargreaves Lansdown in 2018, before moving to the Brunel Pension Partnership, where he was a portfolio analyst and then a deputy portfolio manager. Will read English Literature at Newcastle University, graduating in 2016. He is a CFA charter holder.
