I am predominantly responsible for running private client portfolios at Investec Wealth & Investment, having worked for the Firm for well over 20 years, whilst having over 30 years’ investment experience. My clients have general investments, SIPPs, offshore bonds, ISAs, AIM stocks etc. Previously I worked for Baring Asset Management and AON Minet which ultimately merged (via Capel Cure Sharp) into Barclays Wealth, where I gained varied experience in the world of investment.

Julian is a Chartered Wealth Manager and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment with 25 years’ investment management experience. He specialises in managing investments for private clients, trusts, charities, corporates, personal pension funds and the clients of financial advisers.

I manage a variety of discretionary portfolios on behalf of private individuals, charities, trusts, financial advisers and other intermediaries. In addition, I am a member of the Collectives Committee within Investec's Investment & Research Office which oversees the fund selection for the firm. I have a background in absolute return and have a keen interest in global macro hedge funds and alternative investments.

David Kness is an Investment Director in our Winchester office and is responsible for managing a wide variety of portfolios for private clients. He has over 15 years’ experience in the industry. David sits on various committees and specialist teams within Rathbones involving Entrepreneur and Divorce clients.

Nick joined Saunderson House (SHL) in 2007 as part of the graduate trainee programme and is now a Financial Planning Director and part of Rathbones Financial Planning following the acquisition of SHL in October 2021. Within his role he is responsible for managing clients’ overall financial planning matters, consulting with them on issues of strategy, technical matters and the construction of investment portfolios.

John joined Rathbones in 2010, having previously worked in both law and accountancy firms. He primarily deals with the taxation and administration of trusts (in some cases as one of the trustees) and also prepares personal tax returns. John is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

My priority is to ensure investment portfolios are structured in line with objectives and risk profile to deliver the optimal outcome for the client. In addition to managing portfolios, I also sit on both the UK Investment Committee and the Multi Asset Mandate Oversight Committee, which together assume responsibility for all aspects of the investment process.

With more than twenty years' experience in the wealth management industry, I started my career as a research analyst and then spent ten years as an Investment Director at Rathbones in Liverpool, and a further five years as a Divisional Director and Head of Office with Brewin Dolphin before joining Investec in 2015.
