Oliver Whitlock

Oliver is an investment manager based in the Winchester office. He joined Rathbones in 2022 having moved from Brooks Macdonald where he worked for five years. Oliver graduated from Cardiff University with a first class degree in Accounting & Finance. He holds the Investment Advice Diploma (IAD) and Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) Wealth Manager Qualification. Oliver sits on the UK collectives investment committee.

Simon Whitmore

Simon is an investment director who specialises in the management of private client portfolios, trusts, pensions and charities and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment. Simon has worked in the financial industry since his graduation in 1991 and he was directly involved in opening the Cambridge office for Rathbones in 2001.
Bruce Newbigging

Bruce joined Rathbones in 2002 having worked with Hambros for the previous 25 years managing its private bank and trust business for the majority of that time. Bruce served as managing director of Rathbones Trust Company Limited up until the end of 2022 and remains a director of the Trust company, looking after a dedicated portfolio of clients, primarily in the Landed Estates sector.
Craig Baxter

Craig is an investment director and manages portfolios for private clients, trusts and charities. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. Craig graduated from the Aberdeen Business School, Robert Gordon University in 1996 with an honours degree in Commerce and joined Speirs & Jeffrey later that year. Speirs & Jeffrey was fully integrated with Rathbones in July 2019.
Stuart Martin

Stuart is an investment director and looks after a growing number of private clients, pensions, charities and trusts. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. Stuart graduated from St. Andrews University with an honours degree in Economics/Finance. After obtaining his qualifications at Tilney, Stuart took a year out travelling around the world before returning to work at Charles Stanley in Edinburgh. He returned to Glasgow and joined Speirs and Jeffrey in 2003. Speirs and Jeffrey was fully integrated with Rathbones in July 2019.

Sachin Amin

Sachin joined Speirs & Jeffrey in 2015 having previously worked as an investment manager in the City of London. He graduated from Imperial College London with a masters in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and holds the CISI Chartered Wealth Management qualification. Sachin is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. Sachin works closely with Tom Brown, managing portfolios for a wide range of private clients, charities and trusts. Speirs & Jeffrey was fully integrated with Rathbones in July 2019.
Tom Carroll

Tom is the CEO of Rathbones Asset Management, having joined us in March 2022 as chief investment officer. Tom has over 25 years’ experience in the industry and joined from Sanlam UK where he was head of asset management. Tom spent much of his career as a fund manager with M&G and Schroders before co-founding the investment boutique FOUR Capital Partners, which was then bought by Sanlam. Tom is also Chartered Accountant, having worked at Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers).
Iain Currie

Iain is an investment director with experience managing a variety of bespoke portfolios including SIPPs, offshore bonds and discretionary trusts for private clients, financial advisers and solicitors. Iain is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and holds the CISI’s Masters in Wealth Management (Level 7), Investment Management Certificate and a Diploma in Financial Services.
Libby Cryer

Libby joined Rathbones in December 2021 as a Trainee Investment Manager and was promoted to an Assistant Investment Manager in 2023. Libby works alongside Amos, assisting in managing portfolios. She has a first-class degree in Psychology from the University of Bristol and worked at Hargreaves Lansdown before joining Rathbones. Libby has completed the CISI Investment Advice Diploma and is currently working towards the Chartered Wealth Management qualification.
