James Walker

James completed the CFA Program in June 2010, having previously obtained the SII Diploma. He is a member of both the CFA Institute and CISI. He also holds a masters in Mathematics from the University of Warwick.

I work with private clients, trusts, companies and charities on tailored and bespoke mandates to suit the the individual requirements of each client. I have significant experience in portfolio construction and asset allocation where I have served on various Investment committees in previous roles, specifically specialising in alternative assets such as Infrastructure and also passive fund selection and portfolio construction.

These portfolios include ISA's, general investment accounts, pensions and other tax friendly vehicles, such as trusts and charities. I take great pleasure in taking clients through the investment journey and ultimately achieving their goals.
Andrew Dawson Paul

Andrew is an investment director with over 25 years’ experience of managing discretionary investment portfolios for private individuals, their pensions and family trust structures. He also manages investments for charities including a City Livery Company. After graduating from Durham University, Andrew joined the City stockbroking firm of Laurence Keen and qualified as a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. Laurence Keen was acquired by Rathbones in 1998.
William Luttrell-Hunt

William graduated from Durham University with an honours degree in Classics and a master's in Economics. He joined Bestinvest in 2000 as an investment adviser rising to investment manager and team leader. William then joined Jupiter Asset Management in 2008 to become an investment director in the Private Client and Charities department and joined Rathbones in 2014 following their acquisition of Jupiter’s Private Client department.
Alex Richmond

Alex is a director of tax and trusts at Rathbones and has been advising private clients and business owners for 30 years. He specialises in providing family office services for wealthy clients including advice to family trusts and charities and tax planning advice to individuals. Alex is a Chartered Tax Advisor and member of the Society of Estate Practitioners. Currently a board member of a Housing Association, Alex has sat on city regeneration boards and has extensive experience as acting as trustee of private trusts and charities.
Carl Hunter

Carl is a assistant investment manager working alongside Ian Hardcastle, Justine Peck, Phil Wyatt and Oliver Northover. He joined Rathbones in 2021 following the completion of BSc (Hons) degree in Economics / Accounting and Finance from the Aberystwyth University. Carl is an associate member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments having successfully completed the Investment Advice Diploma in August 2022. Carl is currently studying toward the Chartered Wealth Manager qualification.
Marcus Hutchings

Marcus is an investment director specialising in private client portfolio management, associated self invested pension schemes and trusts. He also manages investment portfolios on behalf of charities. He is a graduate of Exeter University and the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. The early part of his financial career was spent at Killik & Co in London before joining Rathbones in 1997.

He spent eight years at Brewin Dolphin, prior to joining Rathbones in 2020. David is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, a Chartered Wealth Manager and a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) charterholder.
Lindsey Cross

I am an investment director working in a team that looks after assets for private individuals and trusts, as well as pension schemes and charities. Additionally, I provide discretionary fund management (DFM) for a number of financial advisers across the North West. I work closely with the financial planning team in Liverpool advising on areas including inheritance tax planning and putting in place tax-efficient structures, such as SIPPs and offshore bonds, in which their investment portfolios can be managed.
