Daniel McKerchar

Danny joined Rathbones in November 2025 to drive business development initiatives across Scotland, Northern Ireland, and the North East of England.

As a Business Development Director, he is responsible for delivering Rathbones’ full range of services to clients, while leading the development and management of intermediary and business owner relationships across the region. He brings a focused approach to building strong partnerships and enhancing relationships in these key markets.

He brings a wealth of experience in strategic business development and client engagement management. He previously led business development for the corporate M&A team at one of Scotland’s leading law firms, working closely with senior partners to secure high-profile mandates. Prior to that, Danny held senior business development roles at two major endowment-backed charities, where he drove strategic initiatives and enhanced stakeholder engagement.

Danny stared his career in the legal sector as a private client fee earner where he gained experience in two top tier City firms, advising clients across a broad range of private client and private property matters.
