Jamie Cox
Jamie currently works for a growing team of investment specialists at Rathbones. The team’s aim is to help clients and their families with all their financial needs, with a particular focus on supporting business owners throughout the lifecycle.
He has extensive experience managing a wide range of client portfolio types, including trusts, pensions, taxable portfolios, offshore bonds, and corporates. The team advises on tax-efficient investment management for onshore and offshore portfolios, as well as ISA and pension portfolios.
Holding a 2:1 degree in Business and Economics from Trinity College Dublin, he also earned a Master’s in Business Studies from University College Dublin with a 2:1. After university, Jamie joined the graduate training programme at Davy, Ireland’s largest wealth management firm, starting as a stockbroker before transitioning to portfolio manager in 2006. During this time, he gained invaluable experience guiding clients through the Global Financial Crisis.
In 2010, he moved to HSBC Global Asset Management as an Investment Manager, managing a large book of high-net-worth clients while serving as one of five regional directors. In 2016, Jamie joined Investec as an Investment Director, a role that continued following its merger with Rathbones in 2023.
He is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments, having completed the SII Diploma in Wealth Management with a merit in Private Client Investment Management. As regional manager at HSBC, he led a team of seven Investment Managers and contributed to numerous investment and client service committees at Investec.
