Michelle White

Michelle leads Rathbones Private Office, working with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients whose wealth needs senior, coordinated support.

She helps clients bring together investment management, financial planning, wealth structuring and specialist expertise, with particular experience supporting US-connected clients, and families with international or more complex financial circumstances.

Michelle works closely with clients’ legal and tax advisers so decisions around portfolios, structures, liquidity and long-term family priorities can be considered together. Her approach reflects the Private Office proposition: one relationship, one coordinated view, shaped around the person, family and responsibilities behind the wealth.

She began her career in the private client team at Lehman Brothers in the early 2000s, before looking after clients at Barclays Wealth, RBC and Julius Baer. She joined Investec in 2021.

In 2026, Michelle was named in the 50 Most Influential list published by PAM - Private Asset Management. She holds an Honours degree in International Business & Economics from Lancaster University, is a CFA Charterholder and speaks German.

Michelle is also a Visiting Fellow of the European Policy Forum, an active member of 100 Women in Finance and previously co-chaired the Investec Gender Balance network.
