Stephen Hunter
Stephen Hunter has nearly three decades of experience in the investment management industry, with a career spanning analytical, leadership, and client-focused roles. He began his career as an analyst at ABN Amro after graduating in 1996, before joining Cornelian Asset Managers in 1999. Over the next thirteen years, Stephen played a pivotal role in the firm’s growth, laterally serving as Head of Investment Research.
In 2012, Stephen joined Rathbones Edinburgh Office as an Investment Director, where he chaired the investment committee and contributed to strategic decision-making across the business. He was appointed Deputy Regional Director in 2017 and served in the management role for 8 years before stepping back to commit more time to client work.
Stephen’ main focus is leading his dedicated small team which manages over £1.2 billion in private client assets, delivering bespoke investment solutions with a focus on long-term performance and client service. He manages a range of direct and “advised” private clients and trusts, specialising in business owners. He has 15 years of experience of managing investments for those in receipt of medical negligence and damage compensation payments.
